Tragedy Strikes: Family Tragically Killed in Upstate New York Plane Crash

A family of five tragically lost their lives in a terrible plane crash while traveling to a youth baseball tournament. The ill-fated Piper Malibu Mirage plane took off from Oneonta Municipal Airport in central New York, en route to their destination, when the accident occurred. Sadly, the plane crashed in the vicinity of Masonville, New York, approximately 90 miles from Syracuse.

Roger Beggs, age 76, his daughter Laura VanEpps, age 43, her husband Ryan VanEpps, age 42, and their two children, James R. VanEpps, age 12, and Harrison VanEpps, age 10, all perished in the crash. Their loss is truly devastating and has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved them.

Upon receiving the distressing report of the suspected plane crash at 2 PM on Sunday, local authorities swiftly initiated a search and rescue mission. Utilizing drones, helicopters, and ATVs, they combed the area until finally discovering the crash site.
