Man Gets an Adorable Selfie Photobomb

Can you imagine being out on a boat, ready to take a selfie, and suddenly realizing that you’re not alone? That’s exactly what happened to one man who found himself in the company of an unexpected photobomber.

As he prepared to take a picture of himself with the beautiful surroundings, he noticed a little head popping out of the water behind him. It was a seal, and it seemed to have positioned itself perfectly for the shot.

Instead of taking a still photo, the man decided to capture the encounter on video. And when you watch it, you’ll see that the seal looks genuinely happy to be hanging out with the man. But there may be more to the story than meets the eye.

Sometimes, seals will seek refuge on boats to escape from predators like sharks. So, it’s possible that this little animal was seeking protection from something in the water. We’ll never know for sure.

What’s also interesting about the video is that they weren’t very far from shore. In fact, the boat was just up on the sand, and they were only about 15 feet out into the water. Could there have been a lurking shark nearby? It’s something worth considering.

Interactions like this between humans and seals are incredibly rare. While seals can be comfortable around people, they don’t typically get this up close and personal. So, this was truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
