Born on November 12, 1929, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Kelly’s roots were impressively strong. Her father, John B. Throughout her screen career, Kelly shared the limelight with titans of the industry. She debuted in Fourteen Hours and catapulted to fame as Gary Cooper’s Quaker wife in High Noon (1952). This was merely the beginning. Kelly starred in a string of celebrated films, including the adventurous romance Mogambo with Clark Gable and Ava Gardner, a performance that earned her a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. Her notable roles also included the critically acclaimed The Country Girl, which won her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, as well as the comedy musical High Society. Then there were her unforgettable stints in Alfred Hitchcock’s hits: Dial M for Murder, Rear Window, and To Catch a Thief with Cary Grant.

By age 26, Kelly had already secured the title of the highest-paid and most respected actress globally. However, her fairy tale took another turn when she met Prince Rainier III of Monaco during a photoshoot at the Cannes Film Festival in France. This encounter led to a royal marriage, and Kelly transitioned from Hollywood royalty to actual royalty. Henceforth, she became the Princess of Monaco.

Tying the knot with a prince meant her acting career was over.

Kelly epitomized the essence of a princess her entire life. Beyond her striking beauty, she exuded elegance, grace, and charm. Together with Prince Rainier, she had three children: Caroline, Princess of Hanover; Albert II, Prince of Monaco; and Princess Stéphanie.

When she was just 52 years old, Princess Kelly was killed in a car accident after suffering a stroke and losing control of the car. Luckily, her daughter Stéphanie, who was in the vehicle, survived.

Kelly left behind a legacy, including 11 grandchildren, each inheriting a slice of her beauty and elegance. Notably, her 20-year-old granddaughter Camille Gottlieb, daughter of Princess Stéphanie, bears an uncanny resemblance to her famous grandmother.

Camille’s striking looks and the renown of her grandmother make her a recognizable figure. She actively shares snapshots of her life and her family on Instagram, where she boasts over 70,000 followers.

Many agree that her blonde hair and her blue eyes remind them of those of Kelly. We can definitely see the resemblance.

Though Camille’s parents were not married when she was born, making her ineligible for the Monegasque throne, she still embodies the spirit of a princess.
